Random: It's soooo nice having the kids in a larger school system. The request came home today for younger son to share his Hannukah books. I didn't have to chase the teacher down!! Even better, older son came home from school today with sentence diagramming homework My sheer glee at this is certain to put me in that special hell for evil parents, but it's only right that my child should go through grammar geek training.
Friending spree: I've gone on a bit of a friending spree here lately. No one should feel obligated to friend back -- I'm easy that way. Just because what you write is interesting to me doesn't necessarily indicate the reciprocal (heck, I struggle to post these updatey things semi-regularly). I vent here, I post about Veronica Mars occasionally, I whine and I moan a *lot*, and I write bits about life as it happens around me.
Shiny: ::bounces:: I've acquired the top 100 hits of 1987, and all the #1 hits from 1980 and 1981! Anybody need some bad 80s music?
Nano: I win, sort of. I'm well past the 50k mark (just past 57, as I haven't written at all today), but the story is just a little past half-told. I think,
WriterCon: Underway, damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead. If you haven't already seen it, there's new info over in

Cookies: The annual Chris-Is-Crazy BakeAthon is coming up. I haven't decided yet what kind of cookies to make this year, but it looks like the sizing on it is about the same as last year. Somewhere on the order of 36 batches for gifts will need to be made... Any suggestions?

Very bummed about the Writercon/ComicCon conflict, btw, as I'm supposed to attend the latter this year! (Will want to at least look into hooking up with a vendor if you guys end up with them again, to get our books in, but that's a thing to do later, I think. . . .)
