Veronica Mars *rocks*

I *so* was not expecting THAT!

I figured they'd wimp out on the rape.

And I was convinced that they wouldn't waste Logan.

But there is no way I thought they'd deliver

"Because you're my sister!"

and make me believe it!!

Ho-lee-shit. < --That's a technical term.

And I have *so* got a theory about the murderer.

Convinced I am.

Scuze the random stream of consciousness format. I'm Squee!Girl tonight.

Fuck. He said showtime! They've got a plan. and oops...
This is just like when she twigged to Weevil and the pencil because they were talking about secrets. Cut to the school. Except this time it's "showtime". Cut to the finale!

Aaron (with a mild extant possibility that it's Lynn) did it!

Duncan's being set up, but I'm convinced, I'm convinced.

"I want you to trust me"

"I do."

GOD. Famous last words.

She meant it, he won't get it, and whammo! Oh my my my my my.

I will miss Harry Hamlin.

(and if I'm wrong? That just makes this show even better *g*)

You think? Aaron was my first real suspect, but other people's theories keep leading me away. The promo has me convinced that it can't be Lianne, and we know now that Abel is out. So I'm thinking there's definitely an Echolls with a screw loose. Or something. I don't even really care - if the answer makes any kind of sense, I'll be a happy fan.

And: oh, Duncan. He angsted wonderfully.

Yeah, he totally did. I'd have sworn that the actor didn't have life in him, but he does!

I keep coming back to Aaron, ultimately. My brain goes 20 different places at various times, but that's the one that makes the best sense out of it all.

It was quite the roller-coaster ride of an episode, wasn't it. *g*

Lynn or Aaron are the most likely, aren't they. Taper and Tapee, perhaps?

I'm leaning a hair more towards cheater/catcher, right now I think.

Still, I'm really thinking we're gonna end the season on an Aaron is dead/hurt and Logan did it note. Except of course Logan didn't.

I've been thinking it's Aaron too for a little while now because of his violence and maybe his ex (missing Lisa Rinna) knew something maybe--unless SHE did it and faked her death to protect herself.

Also, those video cameras are TOTALLY his (not Logan's!!!). That's what I believe anyway. And someone's going to find a videotape with something on there (possibly a tape with him and Lilly).

There are sooo many ways it could come down, but the story just gets better and better no matter how I look at it.

I'm very worried about Veronica now, though. I'm contemplating ficcing the tale I've concocted for myself, even if it turns out to be way, way, way wrong.

The real question now for me is the mechanics: is Aaron trying to restore the family fortunes with blackmarket porn? That would explain why the Kane's would cover up for Echolls, to protect the family reputation from Lilly's vid getting out.

Or perhaps Mama Celeste is the only one who knows what happened, and she let Daddy Kane think it was Duncan to cover her own damned tracks, cause Lilly caught her out having an affair.

Maybe the parentage thing is the real red herring.

No matter what, though, I'm thinking that Veronica got her clue from the image of the bed on those cameras, and she's hot on the trail now.

I missed the promo for next week.

Neeeeeeeeeeed to see it.

Sorry, I'm really still rambling.

Ah ... but the upn site does have the first 2 min of next week's episode up. *squeee* I love this show.

Oh, and so with you on the Aaron angle. Either him or Lynn, I think.

This type of television should be an illegal narcotic. Can't.Get.Enough. :)

Oh god. Those bad, bad boys are trying to set up Logan.

They're the ones who were asked to move the shoes, etc. I bet Weidman asked 'em to do it.

And see what Fen wrote below. She may be right -- the Kanes both just think they're protecting Logan.

And did you see Deadwood?

Oh. My.

Actually, I think it's much more likely that they came home to find Duncan zoned out next to the body, possibly with Lilly's blood on his clothes, and assumed he did it... which is why they did the coverup. I don't think they have a clue who the real killer is.

As for why Aaron would have the camera over the guesthouse bed -- he just got off on recording his illicit trysts. Either that or Lynn had it installed to catch Aaron in his infidelities as ammunition for a possible divorce (after all, didn't she have a Private Investigator follow him around to take pictures?).

This makes very good sense.

I just saw the promo, too. They're totally going to try to set up Logan, as a fake out for Duncan, who's really a fake out for Aaron. Nods. Yup.

I sure do hope Veronica meant it when she said she trusted him...they've strayed maybe a hair too far into "sappy" with those two kids, but I'm sure it won't last!

Re: Having watched only 4 episodes

This is gonna be a fun ride.

And I can't believe you're gonna watch the solution before you see the rest of the mystery! Cheater ;-)

Re: Ally said Aaron was watching...
Well, I went back on the vid and looked at the scene again. I didn't notice anyone *real* watching, but there was a picture on the bedside table with the two of 'em, and those curtains they walked in through had at least Aaron in supersize imprinted on 'em.

Here's what I think went down there: V. sees the video camera, is testing something out, and puts the cameras, something about the video (I wish I had the pilot on my puter to see the video that was released of Lilly again to compare), and the whole "Lilly hides things in vents" thing together, and goes into Nancy Drew mode. Anyway, she calls Weevil, cause she's figured out that the video tape is what Lilly told him about in the secret pen, and now knows where to find it. He confirms, and she zooms off to tell Daddy. Continuity miss, I guess, that it would take way longer for Weevil to arrive than for Logan to return. Silly. Who knows, maybe Logan even knows what's up--just can't figure he'd let her run off with Weevil, regardless, yanno?

Further thesis: The video is of Aaron and Celeste. Can't you just *see* the flashback of Lilly taunting Celeste with her newfound knowledge? Maybe Lilly threatened to expose them if mama didn't let her get away with Weevil, or something of that sort, even. Lilly's next off to the Echolls mansion to confront Aaron, and Aaron goes Psychotic!Daddy, possibly even accidentally kills her (that would go along with the whole 'it's not really anybody's fault, people just suck in general theme Thomas has going on). I'm torn between Aaron kills her and moves her and Celeste done it. Celeste seems unlikely, but possible. Esp. if Jake was still at the hotel. Either way, Celeste deflects blame on Duncan, and their secret is safe.

Now, moving on to the preview -- gotta figure Aaron helped Celeste with the coverup, having the boys cart the shoes/evidence off to the boat, then letting Jake put Weidman on it.

Here's a bit for you to fill in: I'm still looking for a better reason than 'he's dying anyway' for Koontz. He's got some other connection going there, I imagine.

As for the supercouple/romance thing, I think what strikes me the most about Veronica and Logan (aside from the fact that early on, I was way more expecting to root for Weevil) is how they seem to go through the same 'loops' in the story. I mean, that little conv. on the bed where he's all sorry because it was all his fault, even though he didn't mean to do harm? So totally the same thing she went through with Wallace/his mom. And they do that kind of stuff with them *all* the time.

*more squee*

Is it Tuesday yet??

Ooh. Look who was right.

LOL. And don't I just wish I'd explained myself more thoroughly? Just to save time on rebuttals ;-)
