One minute and counting.

I'm trying to get in the habit of taking advantage of these tiny little five minute pockets of internet time to get back in the swing of things here on LJ. Guilt often prevents it, because I think if I can't do everything that needs doing (here, that'd be visit everyone's LJ and catch up and comment), I shouldn't come at all. The rational part of my brain is winning today, so here I am. With just a little caveat:

This could mean that it'll appear I'm favoring some friends over others when I comment, but I really want everybody to know it's just a matter of timing -- whoever just posted is where I'll land.

Today's sekrit messages:

--Not going anywhere, dear Greenie!
--I'm two stories behind (at least), Lori, but I don't think your stories are "too" anything! I obviously adore your humor the most, but I love your plottiness and your schmoop and ensembleness.
--Minty's got a jo-ob!!
--*hugs* for Colleen
--Winsome, I wana respond to your posts, really I do. Soon. But not today. You make me think too much (that's a good thing). ::fresh biscuits and spun honey::
--Where's Kim?
--Where's Kelly?
--Taramisu is back, wheeeeeee

Time's up -- off to work. Back another time, though.

Chris dear, thank you. I didn't mean to take up your LJ time! But your kind words are appreciated.

[hugs you, pours you some tea for now and reserves some wine for later]

Hope you're feeling good!

I'm here. Surivived the Sprog's birthday, a subpoena from a truly insane woman whom I've picked up restraining order papers in response, a few killer migraines, and a visit from my parents!

Now to ask where is Kim? That is truly the question of the day!

Happy ritual sacrifice with pie. Just checking in. I do have a job, a wonderful, exciting job that is keeping me very busy. Hope you and the family are doing well. I think of y'all often.

Ha! Busy, I get. Wonderful is even better. I worked yesterday, no sacrifice, no pie -- family is in New Orleans with yet more family having the ultimate sacrifice: Turducken. It is apparently a monstrosity of a chicken stuffed inside a duck, stuffed inside a turkey. I am glad not to be sacrificing. I had olives and brie and tomatoes and bread quietly at home alone around 11pm last night when I got off work -- it was nice. I was too damned tired to even plug up the laptop and gobble with everyone.

Back to work with us soon, though, eh?

Turducken seems to be tres chic for 2004. Hopefully it will fall off the radar in 2005, so that I never have to think about the concept ever again. Gah.
