Things I learned yesterday

Let your family and friends know how much you appreciate them. Is there someone you're worried about? Tell that person you're worried. Give him or her a chance to lay those burdens down for a while. There may not be anything you can do, but do what you can, before it's too late.

And also? I learned that Cold Mountain is indeed a sucky movie, but that I can stare at Jude Law quite happily for a very, very long time.

Finally? Small town parties are scary.

Wow, I think I'm the only person I know (online, at least) who loved Cold Mountain. Oh well. At least everyone agrees with me about Jude Law. :-)

And yes, wise words, both about sharing one's feelings, and small town parties. ;-)

BTW, your hard work on Writercon is much appreciated, as is your encouraging presence. ::hugs::

Cold Mountain could have been better, and maybe sucks is a little harsh. There were some good scenes, but it felt too predictable. At the very least, they could have surprised me with his living and skipped the 'has his war child and lives on' part... I think I'd enjoy the book, though. And *major* Guh for Jude Law.

Thanks for the thanks -- I'm really doing okay, I promise! I'll post more in a separate post now that I have permission.
