(no subject)

First, a random FX rerun kind of comment: The first half of 'Afterlife' is just phenomenal. I really can't get over the amazingly subtle and on-target job everyone did in this episode. I also couldn't help being struck by how Body-like this episode was. I'd say I'm more moved than ever. It also puts me on the S6 is my favorite side of my perpetual internal S4 vs S6 debate. And yes, I have watched Buffy since Welcome to the Hellmouth. No accounting for taste, right?

Second, a brief request for vibes: Remember the whole "balancing life" thing from two months ago, with the writing and the new company moving to the area, etc.? Well. I got an out-of-the-blue callback two days ago, and just finished a phone interview. There's no question in my mind now as to whether a) they'll make an offer and b) there's a fit with my wants/needs. It's going to come down to the logistics and the $ in the offer. Vibes to the universe that things will turn out as they should are most appreciated. It's balance I'm after here...

And third, a moment of insanity: I have signed up for NaNoWriMo. I'm intensely curious as to what happens if you take Spike's emotional arc from S6 and turn it into a novel without vampires, slayers, or magic...

5764 is going to be one heck of a year, it seems.
