Still here!

The rain and some wind have arrived, but it's looking like two bits of good news: first, the very very worst of the storm looks like it will hit a full county over, so yay! Easterly turns are good. We got most of the work that needed doing, done, and it looks like our two or three hours of truly awful stuff won't get here til late afternoon!

Shew. I was v. stressed about it yesterday, but feeling better now that it's started. Soon, Isabel will be a memory in NC, and I'll be busy thinking off all of you along the northern reaches of the Atlantic Coast.

Glad to hear you're dodging the bullet, sorta, so to speak. ;)

And I'm a bit ashamed to say it, but after living on the Gulf Coast for nearly 20 years? I'm kinda getting a weird kick out of sitting back and watching on tv, instead of having to pack the car and run for the hills myself!

Hang in there, sweetie!

Nods. We really dodged a bullet. Sandbags worked, only lost one tree, and were without power & phone for only about 24 hours.

My in-laws had a pretty long stretch of no power and are without water as of late last night -- how are you and Jeff holding up?
