Google is such a wonderful thing

I am so very, very excited... There's a Sime-Gen fandom! Really, really there is! Wheeeeeeee!

In other wonderous news, Jean Lorrah has an essay in a new book of essays on BtVS by sff authors: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1932100083/rereadablebooksr/002-3522950-812805 . The ultimate Drew is doing a forward!!

I met Jean a long time ago, when I was a high schooler doing a program at Murray State.

Anybody else out there know why I'm so damned excited? Sime-Gen, dammit! And they're reissuing the original novels, too.

Serendipity strikes...

I noticed that one of the essays in the book (not by Ms. Lorrah) is called "The Search for Spike's Balls," LOL! I need to get this book.

I'm afraid Sime-Gen must have passed me by - you'll have to fill me in.

Yes, I'm all pre-ordered for it! The Sime~Gen thing is based on a series of books from late 70s/early 80s in the sff genre. I adored it when I discovered it in my late teens, and I'm all happy happy to have found it again, with fan fiction!

SQUEEEEEEEE!!
Sime-Gen fandom! Whoo!!

Did you find the online Tecton site? And the House of Zeor site? I'm actually listed on there somewhere are Shaddyr Ambrov Zeor. Cool beans, eh?

And Reissued? Dayum! My copy of Unto Zeor, Forever and RenSime are falling apart, so it might be nice to get copies that actually still have glue holding them together.

*sigh*

Let the shilterpron play and the selyn flow!

::ponder::

I suppose there is really *no* possible way to slip Spike into that Universe, is there? I'd just luuuurve to see him in the early Sime/Gen universe, maybe in one of the Shrines of the Starred Cross, suddenly beset upon by a Sime in Need. yeah, that would make for an interesting story...

*sigh*

Ya it would be possible to wank an AU where the initiative was not destroyed and somehow was responsible for the creation of the Sime and Gen?

I think I'm going to shut up before I babble any more...

Re: SQUEEEEEEEE!!
I found three or four sites...names escape me at the moment. I played around for hours just remembering it all...

As for x-overs, it's *always* struck me that the sime~gen relationship wasn't so far off from vampirism. You could come up with a reasonable crossover, I think. Mebbe there's a way to be a disjunct vamp??? *grins*

God, I haven't read those for a MILLION YEARS!!!

I liked the ones set earlier in the history a lot better than the later ones, though, and I don't think I ever managed to get through anything later than "Mahogany Trinrose." Maybe I should take another whack at it.

I've gone and ordered a bunch of them -- the copies I read obsessively so many years ago belonged to my *grandmother*!

I liked the earlier ones better, too, as I recall. Finding some *very* interesting stuff in the official simegen site, too.

I'm so glad you piped up! I really thought Shaddyr and I were all alone out here when even Colleen didn't know what I was talking about.
